This review is from: A Matter of Perspective (Kindle Edition)

I couldn't put this down until I'd reached the end! A good whodunnit set in renaissance Florence is hard to find and this will be hard to beat. I loved the characters, the shy Luca persisting in his quest to nail the murderer, crazy and lovable Donatello, wonderful Cosimo and his humanist ideals, protector of his city... and of course the brilliant Brunelleschi, totally obsessed with creating his masterpiece. I loved the details of the creation of the great dome; it's obvious that a great deal of research went into the writing of this novel.
It was also a fascinating glimpse of life in renaissance Florence, the food, the pubs, the clothes... I loved it all. If you're planning a visit to Florence, this would be the PERFECT plane read!
